Upcoming BSCC Board Meeting

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) will meet on Thursday, September 6, at 10:00 am in San Diego. Agenda items include: Proposition 47 updates, approval of the Juvenile Titles 15 & 24 revisions and approval of the SB 1022 scope change in Madera County. A copy of the agenda can be found here.

 

 CCJBH Hosts September Workshop and Quarterly Council Meeting

The Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health (CCJBH) is hosting their September Workshop, “Co-occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Services For the Justice-Involved Population”, Wednesday, September 19, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and their Quarterly Council Meeting, Thursday, September 20, from 9:00am - 3:00pm.  Both meetings will be held at the Board of Parole Hearings Executive Board Room, located at 1515 K Street, 5th Floor, Suite 550 Sacramento, CA 95814.  You may also join via Teleconference: 1-888-363-4734 Access Code: 3232557. Cal OES Grant Opportunity

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Victim Services and Public Safety Branch, Domestic Violence Unit is soliciting proposals for the Domestic Violence Assistance (DH) Program for 2018-19. The DH Program expands comprehensive support services to domestic violence survivors and their children, including emergency shelter, counseling, court accompaniment, and advocacy. Approximately $2,000,000 is available for the DH Program through he State General Fund. Applicants may apply for up to $500,000 for a 24 month Grant Sub award performance period beginning Jan. 1, 2019 and ending Dec. 31, 2020. This is one time funding. To be considered for funding, the proposal package must be received or postmarked by Tuesday, October 9, 2018. For additional information and a copy of the RFP, please click here.
