Board of Forestry Fire Safe Regulations Hearing Set for June 22

June 17, 2021

The Board of Forestry and Fire Protection (Board) will be conducting a hearing for the rulemaking entitled “State Minimum Fire Safe Regulations, 2021.” At the hearing, counties may present statements on the regulations orally or in writing.  The Board requests, but does not require, that those who make oral comments at the hearing also submit a written summary of their statements.

Counties are encouraged to send in comments in addition to individual testimony. At their March 22 hearing the board acknowledged the huge local presence on the call and made particular note of the diversity and varying concerns raised by our members. At the June 22 hearing the Board will only be taking testimony and will not be discussing nor taking action on any matters raised by individuals in the meeting.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. via online GoToWebinar format. You can register for the conference here. Members of the public may also call in to: +1 (562) 247-8321; access code: 695-151-027. Comments may be submitted, until the end of the hearing to:
