 BSCC Announces Release of Prop. 64 Grant Program Cohort 3 RFP

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) recently announced the release of the Proposition 64 Public Health and Safety (Prop 64 PH&S) Grant Program Cohort 3, Request for Proposals (RFP). The Prop 64 PH&S Grant Program directs revenue from the cultivation and sale of cannabis to projects that promote public health and safety. Through this funding opportunity and a competitive process, $150,000,000 is available for projects that address local impacts due to the legalization of adult recreational cannabis in California.

 Eligible applicants are counties, cities, and city/county in California that do not ban both indoor and outdoor commercial cannabis cultivation, or retail sale of cannabis or cannabis products. Proposals must be received through the BSCC-Submittable Application portal by 5:00p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022. The RFP Instruction Packet and submittal directions are available on the BSCC Prop 64 Homepage.

 Additionally, on Wednesday, November 9 at 1:30 pm, the BSCC will hold a Bidders’ Conference to answer technical questions about the Cohort 3 RFP from prospective applicants and provide clarity on RFP instructions. All are invited to attend remotely via Zoom.
