The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services’ (Cal OES)
Homeland Security Division will host, the first in a series of
Targeted Violence Prevention (TVTP) webinars, on
Wednesday, February 15 at 11:30 am. These
informational sessions are intended to connect California-based
first responders, law enforcement, school administrators, and
faith-based organizations with available resources designed to
prevent targeted violence. Some of these resources include
available federal and state grant opportunities, gun violence
restraining orders, threat assessment training, school safety
initiatives, and more.
Partners from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center
for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) will discuss their
health-informed approach to targeted violence and terrorism
prevention, and available funding opportunities to support
efforts in California.
