SB 54 Webinar

Next week, CalRecycle is hosting an informational session on SB 54 (Allen, 2022), the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act. SB 54 requires that by 2032, 100% of packaging be recyclable or compostable, producers use 25% less plastic packaging, and 65% of all single-use plastic packaging actually be recycled. The department will be working this year to begin the implementation process and will seek input as regulations will need to be put in place.

The webinar will be on January 31, 2023 at 10:00am. To view the live video, click here.
