The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) Board will
host its first meeting for 2024 on Thursday, February 15,
starting at 9:45 am. The meeting attendance options are remote
via Zoom, in person at the BSCC Headquarters in Sacramento, and
in person at San Jose City Hall in San Jose.
The first agenda item will be a closed session to consult with
legal counsel regarding pending litigation. Agenda topics
include:
The approval of Contra Costa County’s Senate Bill 844 scope
change;
Discussion and approval of facility inspection updates
provided by Sheriff Robert G. Luna from the Los Angeles County,
Men’s Central Jail and Sheriff-Coroner Yesenia Sanchez from the
Alameda County, Santa Rita Jail;
Approval of the suitability of two Los Angeles County
Juvenile Detention Facilities – Barry J. Nidorf Secure Youth
Treatment Facility and Los Padrinos Juvenile, and a Proposition
47 Grant statewide evaluation information-only item.
