On December 1, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
released a
Request for Applications (RFA) as part of the Children and
Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. In this first round of grant
funding totaling $30 million, DHCS is seeking proposals to scale
up evidence-based and community-defined evidence practices.
Counties and other eligible entities, including but not limited
to local education agencies, childcare providers, and
community-based organizations, are encouraged to submit proposals
for projects that scale parent and caregiver support and training
services to parents, caregivers, and children and youth with
emerging or existing mental health and/or substance use
disorders. Applications are due
by 5:00 pm on January 31, 2023.
