GASB Newsletter Includes Information Highly Pertinent to Counties

The Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) recently issued their quarterly newsletter with information highly pertinent to counties and other government agencies. The issue includes a Q&A with the GASB Chairman on the upcoming financial reporting model proposal, a video on the User Guide Series, and more.
GASB establishes accounting and financial reporting standards for state and local governments that follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Its mission is to establish and improve standards of state and local governmental accounting and financial reporting that will result in useful information for users of financial reports and guide and educate the public, including issuers, auditors, and users of those financial reports.
