The Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) held an event that
provided licensing information from the various state and local
agencies in the Sacramento Convention Center recently. The event
drew a demographically diverse crowd in the hundreds and
contained several rows of tables staffed by local and state
agency employees who provided handouts related to cannabis
regulation.
CSAC staff also had a table and urged attendees to check with
their local jurisdictions about cannabis policies and reminded
them of the dual licensing requirements and need to acquire a
local permit for any cannabis related venture. The Bureau is
expected to release emergency regulations to issue temporary
cannabis permits late this November.
