CSAC would like to share that the Judicial Council (JC) and the State Controller’s Office (SCO) are pleased to announce their annual training offered to address the impacts of newly enacted legislation on trial court revenue distributions and highlight other related areas of interest. The session will be offered on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., by staff from the JC, the SCO, and the Franchise Tax Board (FTB), to court, county, city, and parking entity staff that perform revenue collection, distribution, and reporting.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2024. Please include any questions that you would like to have addressed during the training.

As the training date nears you will receive a confirmation email with training materials and a link to Teams. If you are unable to attend, the audio recording will be posted online, tentatively by Friday, January 26, for viewing at your convenience.

This year’s session will highlight current and pending bills on the collection, distribution, and/or reporting of court-ordered debt including:

• Legislative changes (Judicial Council)
• Trial Court Revenue Distribution Guidelines (State Controller’s Office)
• 2024 Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedule Revisions (Judicial Council)
• Collections Totals 2022–23 (Judicial Council)
• Franchise Tax Board Collections Programs
• Audits Updates (State Controller’s Office)
