October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October 26, 2023

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is held each October as a way to unite advocates across the nation in their efforts to end domestic violence. Domestic violence is prevalent in every community, and affects all people regardless of age, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or nationality.

CSAC would like to share the Blue Shield of California Foundation’s “Let’s End Domestic Violence: Heal, Restore, Prevent” podcast series as a resource. The podcast highlights different themes surrounding domestic violence and features leaders across California, including State Senator Susan Rubio.

● Episode 2: Healing From DV: Restorative Practices
● Episode 3: Domestic Violence & Housing Insecurity
