Reminder: Grant for County Wildfire Coordination Opens Next Week

July 29, 2021

The County Coordinators Grant Opportunity will open on Monday, August 2, 2021. The grant, presented in partnership between CSAC, the California Fire Safe Council, and the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC), is designed to educate, encourage, and develop county-wide collaboration and coordination among various wildfire mitigation groups operating within counties containing State Responsibility Area (SRA) lands. Up to 24 counties will receive a one-time grant of $175,000 to cover administrative costs relevant to county-wide coordination efforts, including but not limited to the salary, support, and administrative costs for a designated County Coordinator.

The California Fire Safe Council will host a 2021 County Coordinators Grant Opportunity informational webinar on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 10 AM. This webinar is currently open for registration, and will cover technical topics related to applying for the grant and using the ZoomGrants software, as well as questions applicants might have after viewing the application. Applications will be available on Monday, August 2 at 9:00 AM with a deadline of Wednesday, September 15 at 11:59 PM.
