State Controller Needs Advisory Committee Reps
Sept. 6, 2018
County supervisors and auditor-controllers have an opportunity to serve on a committee established under the State Controller’s Office (SCO) that helps improve accounting and reporting procedures on behalf of local governments.
The Advisory Committee on County Accounting Procedures has three vacancies – one county supervisor and two auditor-controllers. Pursuant to Government Code Sections 30200 and 30201, the Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving county accounting and reporting procedures before they become regulation. The Auditor position may be filled by any county officer with like duties, including Directors of Finance and other consolidated offices.
