The California Department of Health Care Services has released
dates for summits throughout the state with the purpose of
providing education and resources pertaining to Medication
Assisted Treatment (MAT), stigma reduction, and workforce
engagement to address substance use disorder (SUD). The summits
will take place January through February 2020.
Dates and Locations:
January 16, 2020 in Pomona
January 23, 2020 in Fresno
January 28, 2020 in Newark
February 20, 2020 in San Diego
February 25, 2020 in Redding
Registration is complementary and will open two weeks prior to
the date of the summit. The target audience are registered and
certified addiction counselors, licensed professionals,
physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, certified
nurse midwives, physician assistants, pharmacists, SUD providers,
mental health professionals, behavioral health workforce
professionals, and any personnel working with individuals with a
substance use disorder.
