Introducing CSAC’s New Communications Coordinator
Hello, my name is Gregg Fishman and I have just been hired as CSAC’s new Communications Coordinator. I look forward to working with many of you in the coming weeks and months, but in the interim, I thought I’d let you know a little bit about my background.
I worked for nearly 13 years as a Public Information Officer in the energy field, at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and more recently at the California Independent System Operator (Cal-ISO). If you ever want to know what really caused the California Energy crisis set aside a couple of hours, buy me a cup of coffee and we’ll talk.
I have also worked as a radio reporter and anchor covering state and local government activities extensively. That may be what really drew me to this job. Counties, more than any other level of government, have a direct and lasting impact on the quality of people’s lives. Counties matter! CSAC matters! and I am looking forward to working with you and the CSAC staff to learn more about each of California’s 58 counties, the issues that affect them, and to helping tell the county story.
