As referenced in the
January 12 CSAC Bulletin, CSAC shared that the Council of
State Governments (CSG) Justice Center is partnering with U.S.
Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of
Justice Assistance (BJA) to select 10 to 12 programs from around
the country that will highlight effective approaches from
crisis response through courts, jails, probation, and
community-based programs. Priority will be given to applicants
that are using innovative practices and are leading the field
with interventions to reduce contact with the criminal justice
system and recidivism for people who are involved in the criminal
justice and behavioral health systems.
